for everyone

ACCESSIBILITY

How accessible this website is, what we know isn’t working yet, and how to get information in a format that suits you.

DRAFT: this page is a working draft and has not yet been approved by Prospex’s trustees. Last updated 13 October 2026.

Prospex wants everyone, including young people, parents, carers and partners, to be able to use this website. This statement covers www.prospex.org.uk.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:

  • use the whole site with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline;
  • zoom text up to 400% without content disappearing;
  • use the site with a screen reader (such as VoiceOver or NVDA);
  • read text with enough colour contrast against its background.

Known issues

We know some parts of the site aren’t fully accessible yet:

  • Some activity schedules are only available as poster images. Call or email us and we’ll read them to you or send them as text.
  • Our annual accounts PDF is a scanned document without selectable text. Ask us for an accessible version.
  • Embedded content from Google Maps, Spotify, Vimeo, Instagram and TikTok is provided by those companies and may not meet these standards.
  • The site menu needs JavaScript to appear.

Tell us about a problem

If you find something hard to use, or need information in a different format (large print, easy read, audio), email info@prospex.org.uk or call 0207 607 7626. We’ll reply within 10 working days.

Visiting us

For information about physical access at the Underground Youth Centre or Elthorne Youth Hub, please call us before your visit and we’ll help you plan it.

How we tested this site

This statement was prepared on 13 October 2026, based on a review of the beta site using automated checks, keyboard-only testing and manual review at desktop and mobile sizes.
