Being a visible face that works with young people in the area can mean you become the sounding board for peoples frustrations. This is an inevitable part of the job and one you have to get used to, so when a member of the community approached me today I waited for my ear bashing!

Well I was wrong! What he said was: “What have you done with all the young people you work with this summer, it has been so quiet and we have had no trouble.”

What a change to hear something positive about local young people, something I will pass onto them.
