The staff team at Prospex are all passionate about improving young people’s lives whether their role is face to face work or behind the scenes. Currently we have four full time members of staff who each have responsibility for a certain work stream. It is then their role to develop their work stream and make sure that it is offering the best possible service and to ensure it is effective.
Alongside these workers we employ sessional workers and volunteers, without whom much of our work could not be done.

After spending my early years training to become a youth worker and finding out after 2 years that I could not afford to live on my very low salary I decided a career change was needed.
Not to sure now how it happened but ended up in retail management working for Granada for near on 14 years progressing to Director of Operations, South East England.
After Granada I took some quality time off and travelled around Europe and then the Far East and on to Australia and New Zealand. To say I love travel would be an understatement.
My travels behind me, I ended up working for my local authority as a Credit Control Manager. Once again before I new it the years had flown by and I decided it was time for a change.
Hearing about Prospex through the work placement scheme setup by Maxine Johnson and myself I decided it was time to go back to what I wanted all those years previously and make a difference in my community again.
So here I am, and loving it!
Beef is the youth services manager. Beef was born in Kent where he started his working career as a Carpenter and after ten years re-trained as a youth worker. He is married with two daughters and lives in Morden, Surrey.
He has been involved in youth work for the past 26 years (16 professionally).
As Youth Pastor of Morden Baptist Church from 1994 to May 2005 he was involved within the church, the community and local schools.
Beef has a passion to see young people reach their full potential in whatever area that may be, is a keen musician and adores curry!
I have been working for Prospex for three years now, and my role has recently changed to Prospex Life Co-ordinator.
I am now in my third year at the YMCA George Williams College, working towards my BA Honours degree in Youth Work & Community Learning & Development (generously funded by the Rank Foundation). Only two more years to go!
I am passionate about the community and the issues that surround it. My main reason for joining Prospex was to work with the young through to old to foster change and make a better place for all to live.
