Prospex Works aims to support and encourage Young People who are not in any form of education or employment, to gain the confidence to better themselves by developing the necessary skills and experience to find the direction and career they want to follow.
The majority of the young people we work with have few or no qualifications so this is a vital stage in giving them a true taste of work and showing them that they have something to offer.
There are three streams to this project; the Placement Scheme, Prospex Works Lifeskills and Job Club.
Find out more about Prospex WorksUnited House have put together a fantastic work placement scheme together that will take place in May. The placement is for eight young people aged 18 years and over and will include CV writing and interview skills, and site induction followed by four days work experience.
Young people can choose any two from the list below:
Heating Engineer – Max 4 people
Internal Site Supervisor – Max 4 people
Electrician – Max 2 people
Brick layer – Max 2 people
Building Surveyor – Max 2 people
Quantity Surveyor – Max 2 people
Decorator – Max 2 people
Kitchen fitter/carpenter – Max 2 people
Resident Liaison Officer – Max 4 people
Receptionist & Administration – Max 2 people
Damp-proofing & plastering – Max 2 people
Scaffolding – Max 2 people
